Biting into an olive pit may result in serious dental injuries, including cracked or fractured teeth, the need for crowns, root canals, extractions, or dental implants. Such injuries can involve significant out-of-pocket expenses and, in some cases, long-term discomfort or complications.

Salad And Go states that the olives used in its products are pitted, and also undergo additional inspections and quality checks. However, some consumers have unexpectedly bitten down on olive pits in prepared salads.  In addition to dental injuries this also poses a serious choking hazard especially for children and elderly adults.
